The IPEM National Office is based in York at 230 Tadcaster Road. The three meeting rooms and WC facilities are all wheelchair accessible.
The Knavesmire Room seats 20 in boardroom style.
Featuring fully integrated AV equipment and an 80" LCD wall-mounted screen, the Knavesmire has full videoconferencing and teleconferencing facilities.
The table setup allows guests to present directly from their seats, with multiple power sockets, HDMI and VGA ports located within the large boardroom table. If guests prefer to stand, a lectern is available to the front of the room.
The room is fully accessible and includes a hearing loop. Wi-Fi is available, and a hot drinks machine can also be found in the room. Heating and comfort cooling are also available as required.
The Ebor Room can accommodate up to 12 people. Full videoconferencing facilities are available in this room, including a 55" wall-mounted screen.
Power sockets can be found positioned at various points in the floor, with HMDI and VGA connections also available for presenters. Wi-Fi and heating and comfort cooling are also available in this room. Hot drinks available also.
The Knavesmire and Ebor Rooms have views over York Racecourse. Parking is available onsite if pre-booked and Fairmount House is only a 20 minute walk or a five minute taxi journey from York train station; alternatively there are regular buses stopping outside.
In addition to the two main rooms, the Library (right) can accommodate smaller meetings of up to 5 people. This room has Wi-Fi and can facilitate small teleconferences.
Catering
Good quality food is an essential part of a successful meeting. A number of different buffet style catering options are available. Tea and coffee are included in the meeting room hire.
Parking, buses, access
Limited car parking is available to the rear of the IPEM office accessed via Tyburn Court off St Georges Place (YO24 1EH). On street parking is available next to the office on St Georges Place (YO24 1DR), or approx. 300 metres away on Knavesmire Rd (YO23 1FA). Alternatively we are a 1 mile walk from York Station and the city centre and are approx. 150 metres from the Mount Vale bus stop stop on Tadcaster Road, serviced by the Askham Bar park and ride and local bus routes 4, 12, 12A, 14, 21, 37, 40, 840 and 843.
Step free access to the building is available through the rear entrance next to the car park via Tyburn Court off St Georges Place.
