IPEM has a wide range of journals and publication outputs. The prizes below reward the best papers that have been published in three of IPEM's journals and SCOPE magazine
Keith Boddy Prize
The Keith Boddy Prize is awarded for the best paper in IPEM’s highly regarded SCOPE magazine. The winner of this award wins £250 and a certificate.
SCOPE is IPEM's quarterly members' magazine, published in spring, summer, autumn and winter. To ensure it's interesting, informative and valuable, it relies on submissions by members and non-members. Articles are welcome from all levels including trainees, junior, middle and senior staff.
If you are interested in writing for SCOPE or have any enquiries contact the Editor Rob Dabrowski, or Usman Lula, the Chair of the SCOPE Editorial Advisory Board, they will be happy to answer any queries you may have.
Don’t forget that your submission will count towards your CPD.
This award is eligible for IPEM members of any grade.

Jack Perkins Prize
The Jack Perkins Prize is awarded for the best paper in Medical Engineering and Physics (MEP). MEP is an IPEM journal published by Elsevier, which encompasses the application of the basic principles of physics and engineering to the development of medical devices and technology, with the ultimate aim of producing improvements in the quality of health care.
The Jack Perkins Prize winner receives £250 and they receive an opportunity to present their paper at an IPEM conference.
The decision on the recipient of the Prize is made by the MEP Editorial Board.

Martin Black Prize
The Martin Black Prize is awarded for the best paper in Physiological Measurement (PMEA). PMEA is an IPEM journal published by IOP Publishing, which publishes papers relating to the quantitative assessment and visualization of physiological function in clinical research and practice, with an emphasis on the development of new methods of measurement and their validation.
The Martin Black Prize winner receives £250 and they receive an opportunity to present their paper at an IPEM conference.
The decision on the recipient of the Prize is made by the PMEA Editorial Board.
