IFMBE (International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering) is seeking nominations from IPEM for their 2025 – 2028 committees. The members chosen to represent IPEM are expected to give regular feedback and ensure they are kept informed with all IFMBE/IPEM activities. There are various positions to apply for;
Open positions in IFMBE:
- Vice-president (Term of office: 2025 -2028)
- Secretary General (Term of office: 2025 -2028)
- Treasurer (Term of office: 2025 -2028)
- Council of Societies Chair (Term of office: 2025 -2028)
- Ordinary Administrative Council member (three positions) (Term of office: 2025 -2031)
- Regional Group Representative for each region below in random order (Term of office: 2025 -2028):
- Europe,
- Africa,
- Asia-Pacific,
- North America,
- Latin America
- Clinical Engineering Division Board member (5 positions) (Term of office: 2025 -2028)
- Health Technology Assessment Division Board member (5 positions) (Term of office: 2025 -2028)
- Digital Health Division Board member (10 positions) (Term of office: 2025 -2028)

If you are interested in any of the roles, please send the following to jenny@ipem.ac.uk before 12pm on Friday 28th February 2025. If we have more than one application submitted for a role, VP International & IPEM President will decide who to put forward as a nomination.
You will need to provide the following;
- 200 word maximum biography about you
- 200 word maximum position statement describing your background, enabling suitability for the position and proposing potential actions and contributions to IFMBE if elected.
- A photograph
- A signed letter confirming willingness to serve on the committee

The IFMBE 2025 elections will be conducted at the IFMBE General Assembly held during IUPESM World Congress 2025 in Adelaide, Australia, and the results will be announced at the General Assembly and communicated to the constituent societies, and posted on the IFMBE website.
