IPEM hosting American MRSE exam

IPEM is hosting an American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety (ABMRS) MR Safety Expert exam later this year.

Successfully passing the ABMRS MRSE exam is required to demonstrate knowledge for the IPEM MRSE Certificate of Competence scheme, which launched in 2021. 

IPEM is hosting this exam at the National Office in York in October to help people who are considering applying for the IPEM scheme. The cost to undertake this exam will be around £200.

A maximum of 10 people can be accommodated for the ABMRS MRSE exam. It is only this exam which is being administered, not the MRSO or MRMD exams.

The first three recipients of the IPEM MRSE Certificate of Competence received their certificates in early 2022.
