New MRI Safety elearning programme released
A NEW elearning programme on MRI Safety is now available thanks to input from IPEM members.
Health Education England elearning for healthcare (HEE elfh) has worked with IPEM and other key organisations within the field of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to develop the new programme.
Structured around the needs of specific MR safety roles, it explores the hazards associated with the use of MRI equipment and offers guidance on best practice to protect patients and staff.
Courses available
The MRI Safety elearning includes five courses, each linked to a different MR safety role as described in the MHRA guidelines for MRI safety:
- MR Authorised Person (Non-MR Environment)
- MR Authorised Person (MR Environment)
- MR Authorised Person (Supervisor)
- MRI clinicians
- Referrers
On completion of the programme, learners will be able to download a certificate of completion and a record of their activity to add to their CPD portfolio.
