Updated HCPC standards of proficiency

NEW standards of proficiency for professions regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) have been drawn up.

They come into effect on 1 September for each of the 15 professions regulated by the HCPC. 

As part of this, the Association of Clinical Scientists (ACS), who operate the 'Route 2' pathway to registration, are updating their generic competencies.

IPEM has set up a working party to review the specific competencies for medical physicists and clinical engineers under the ACS scheme. The working party is also looking to produce some guidance on how the specific competencies can be met.
