Webinar: Empowering Healthcare with AI

A WEBINAR on Empowering Healthcare with Artificial Intelligence is taking place in June.

The joint free webinar between IPEM and City, University of London, will present three different applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare.

It will be chaired by Dr Eduardo Alonso, Director of the AI Research Centre and a Reader in Computing at the Department of Computer Science at City, University of London. He is an expert in the application of AI to real-life problems.

Speakers will include:

• Dr Giacomo Tarroni, a full-time researcher in the field of medical image analysis, who will talk on ‘Taking hearts to heart: AI-based automated quality control of cardiac MR images’
• Dr Alex Ter-Sarkisov, a lecturer at City, University of London, who will talk on the ‘Application of Deep Learning solutions to the automation of chest CT scan analysis'
• Dr Constantino Carlos Reyes Aldasoro, an interdisciplinary scientist with interest in Computer Science, Engineering and Life Sciences, who will talk on the ‘Analysis of Cancer Cells observed with Electron Microscopy'
