How to Write a Business Case
Business case writing skills for small value schemes is aimed at those developing, appraising or assuring business cases as well as those in leadership roles or aspiring to leadership roles. This training can also be more widely applicable to anyone in their roles as influencers and responsible officers to benefit them and their organisation.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the training, attendees will:
- Understand what a business case is and why you might need to write one
- Recognise the value of writing a business case and what you like to gain from it
- Understand who the target audience is for your business case
- Identify the key steps to develop the business case and what a good business case looks like and potential challenges
The Training
The training will be hosted by NHS Midlands and Lancashire, leaders in the delivery of a range of business case training and technical support, including the acclaimed HMT Better Business Cases TM Masterclass as well as Bite Size Training.
The training for business case writing for small value schemes, will be delivered by Sue Stockley (Head of Business Case Technical Support). Sue has an impressive career of 30 years in NHS capital investment appraisal and possesses an in-depth knowledge of the HMT Better Business Cases methodology TM including the Green Book and Five Case Model alongside proficiency in benefits management, economic modelling and the intricacies of NHS England’s business case protocols.
