Northern Ireland Regional Medical Physics Service (NIRMPS)
The Radiological Imaging and Protection Service of NIRMPS provides a wide range of ionising and non-ionising imaging and radiation protection services to Health and Social Care Trusts and other organisations in Northern Ireland. The service has recently received significant investment in staffing to meet the growing demands of Imaging and other services and we are looking to expand our team. The Ionising Radiation Group is seeking to appoint a number of Clinical Scientists to be part of a team providing comprehensive range of ionising radiation protection services.
2 x Clinical Scientist Band 7 (53334330)
The successful candidate will participate in the provision of scientific support to departments within the region using ionising radiations and provide direct support to Radiation Protection Advisers and Medical Physics Experts. They will assist in the teaching and training activities of the group and undertake work on research and development projects.
Clinical Scientist Band 8A (53107793)
The successful candidate will act as a Medical Physics Expert in Diagnostic Radiology and provide expert scientific advice and support to Radiology and other departments throughout Northern Ireland. They will initiate developments and undertake work on research projects. Applicants who are also certified or working towards certification as a Radiation Protection Adviser are invited to apply.
All posts are based at Forster Green Hospital in Belfast and will involve service provision and travel across Northern Ireland.
